Imagine Life Without Limbs…
For most of us, life would be very different without limbs wouldn't it?
How would you cook, eat, go to the bathroom, get dressed, climb stairs, get from place to place, type on a keyboard, move a mouse, use the telephone… in fact how would we do most things that we do?
If you fell over…. how on earth would you get back up again?
How would you become successful in your life and succeed AGAINST ALL ODDS?
When you learn to THINK outside the box… EVERYTHING BECOMES POSSIBLE.
The video towards the end of this post shows how Nick managed to overcome his disability and conquered the HUGE MOUNTAIN of a challenge to become successful and use his situation to INSPIRE and MOTIVATE other people and change their beliefs about what is possible…
I believe that we should all be GRATEFUL for whatever we have right now in our life. Be happy and content with what we've got…
BUT, definitely STRIVE to be better. Don't let things get it your way. Don't let set backs stop you…
Dream building is a very important part of the success ladder for without dreams, you'd have nothing to aim for.
Every morning I wake up, go into my office (in my house) and look at my dream board. It inspires me to work as hard as I do. It motivates me through the tough times and shows me why I do what I do.
I also thank god for what I have in my life right now. Gratitude is an incredibly important part of my life.
Everyone has dreams when they're younger, but many people give up on them because they feel they can't ever achieve them! Well, with that attitude, they never will…
But…
It doesn't matter what your current situation is, it doesn't matter what your disabilities are, it doesn't matter what your current mindset is, you CAN change it and achieve those dreams and goals that you once had as a child.
After all, why shouldn't you? You are just as good as the next person! You're unique, have your own talents, and have so many things you can offer other people.
Remember – You can have everything you want in the world as long as you help enough people get what they want!
That's a very important quote and statement, and that's why the network marketing industry is so powerful. That's what we do… help OTHER PEOPLE get what they want!
There are NO EXCUSES. If you want something back enough, you HAVE to put everything you've got into making your life a success, and achieving those goals and dreams.
If you've never heard of Nick Vujicic before, check out this video for inspiration. It just shows how ANYBODY from any walk of life can INSPIRE others…
Nick touches people's lives where ever he goes. He shows people that no matter what happens to you, you just get back up time and time again until you achieve what you want.
Everytime I watch that video, it brings a tear to my eyes.
Nick is someone who never let life or situation get the best of him and I vote that we all should do the same.
So, I'd like to open this up and ask you… how do you motivate yourself, what drives you on, and what dreams and goals do you have for yourself, family and friends?
What are you GRATEFUL for? What are you happy in your life RIGHT NOW?

Gavin.I believe that each of us are here to get and give the most joy in life that we can. And that all boils down to the thoughts that we each choose to have. It's hard sometimes tho, accepting that I'm the thinker of my thoughts and not well the Universe made me have those thoughts because of my circumstances. Thanks Gavin!!
Hi Gavin
This is good Stuff ever boddy need to be like this and Think that he CAN
Because Henry Ford say :You can if you Think you Can"
Regards
Theuns
Yes Alix I agree… although sometimes if we don't monitor our thoughts, they can quickly spiral out of control and get into a negative loop, so staying on top of them and making sure we think positive thoughts is critical.
@Theuns – Great to see you here on the blog also, and hope things are going well for you!
A great timely reminder Gavin, for when we get down on ourselves and the dud hand life seems to be dealing us.
Nick really is an inspiration to us all and I couldn't help feeling a little embarrassed at the things I had let get ME down in the past.
I've found that practicing GRATITUDE helps me put everything into perspective.
It is impossible to be negative when you are grateful.
It is impossible to criticize or complain about people or your circumstances with gratitude in your heart.
You can’t feel sad when you are thankful.
It reminds you of all of the great things and people in your life.
It makes you aware of the things that are most important in this life.
It opens up your ability to attract more of what you want, because you appreciate what you already have. Which makes me especially grateful to now be part of your team!
"Onwards and Upwards" my friend!
I agree 100% Martin,
Gratitude is very important, but I feel that sometimes we forget about it and keep focusing on the negative in most situations.
The more we remind ourselves to be happy and grateful where we are at right now and with what we have right now… the easier life gets!
Also, when we compare our situation with the situations of others much less fortunately than ourselves, we start to realise that actually…. our problems are not that bad!
It reminds me of this story here…
Dear Mother and Dad:
Since I left for college I have been remiss in writing and I am sorry for my thoughtlessness in not having written before. I will bring you up to date now, but before you read on, please sit down. You are not to read any further unless you are sitting down, okay?
Well, then, I am getting along pretty well now. The skull fracture and the concussion I got when I jumped out the window of my dormitory when it caught on fire shortly after my arrival here is pretty well healed now. I only spent two weeks in the hospital and now I can see almost normally and only get those sick headaches once a day.
Fortunately, the first in the dormitory, and my jump, was witnessed by an attendant at the gas station near the dorm, and he was the one who called the Fire Department and the ambulance. He also visited me in the hospital and since I had nowhere to live because of the burntout dormitory, he was kind enough to invite me to share his apartment with him. It's really a basement room, bit it's kind of cute. He is a very fine boy and we have fallen deeply in love and are planning to get married.
We haven't got the exact date yet, but it will be before my pregnancy begins to show.
Yes, Mother and Dad, I am pregnant. I know how much you are looking forward to being grandparents and I know you will welcome the baby and give it the same love and devotion and tender care you gave me when I was a child. The reason for the delay in our marriage is that my boyfriend has a minor infection which prevents us from passing our pre-marital blood tests and I carelessly caught it from him.
Now that I have brought you up to date, I want to tell you that there was no dormitory fire, I did not have a concussion or Skull fracture, I was not in the hospital, I am not pregnant, I am not engaged, I am not infected, and there is no boyfriend. However, I am getting a "D" I American History, and an "F" in Chemistry and I want you to see those marks in their proper perspective.
Your loving daughter,
Sharon
Hi Gavin,
One of the best motivators I know, and always pushing the boundary's, what a very inspirational thing to do. Great video.
Gavin,
I could be reminded everyday to remember to thank God for all I have and still need more reminders. We have so much compared to so many.
Nick's story is very powerful. Attitude is everything! Without faith, hope, dreams, attitude, (and a sense of humor) I don't think we stand a chance of succeeding.
And, I love Sharon's story, above.
Thank you,
Becky Joubert
Powerful words Becky. Glad to see you stopping by on the blog.
Look forward to connecting with you very soon,
Hi Gavin,
Nick certainly takes away all of our excuses. Life is so much an internal game. One of my leaders, Bob Hooper told me 10 years ago, "If you don't have your head on right. Nothing else really matters."
Man that is so true in everything we do.
Thanks for the inspiration Gavin! You rock!
Terry
I have seen this before, I was touched when he delivers his message. It so tough for him to deal with it everyday but with the people around him supporting it's just gonna be a small thing to deal with.
