I’m not sure if you’ve ever purchased and cold called telephone leads before? I have and it’s not much fun… all you get it rejection, after rejection, after rejection.

The person has no idea who you are, they don’t care who you are and they want you off the phone as quickly as possible. For me, this was a character building experience and not something I want to repeat again.

Fast forward five years to the Facebook age. Make friends with like minded individuals, find their phone number, call them up and build a relationship with them!

This is much better than buying leads! You can make friends with like minded network marketers on Facebook and call them up.

I know you might not like using the telephone but the brutal truth of network marketing is that it’s a relationship business and the only way you are going to build relationships with people is by speaking with them on the phone!

But….

Don’t worry because you don’t have to mention your network marketing business or try to sell them something. (Well, not to start with).

The way I started was to call people up, speak to them on the phone, learn from them, build a relationship with them, ask them questions and talk to them as a friend rather than someone I was prospecting. (It’s much easier this way)

After a few weeks/ months of speaking with other network marketers on the phone, I had a lot more knowledge, authority, power and confidence. I found that I was talking a lot more about my own network marketing business and some of them were actually interested.

I wasn’t hard selling people, I was just talking to them like friends, building up relationships, helping people and effortlessly sponsoring them into my network marketing business.

My advice is to speak to 2 new people each day and get to know more about them, and what they are doing. If you feel confident enough to mention your network marketing business, then go for it.

It’s all about experience… the longer you are in the industry for, the better. It’s not going to happen over night. You need experience, and in order to gain the experience… you need to be speaking to and interacting with real people!

This is one powerful strategy! I know several people who use this strategy very very successfully….
