Cross purposing content across your various social networking sites is very important. It will save you a lot of time and will allow you to reach different audiences on each network.

I've set it up on Facebook so that when I write a post on my blog, it gets automatically posted to my Facebook notes. My note then appears in my Facebook newsfeed for all my friends to see.
People can then comment on the blog posts from within Facebook and you can start a discussion or conversation about the content which further engages your friends.
You can also integrate your blog or website into your Facebook Fan Page to populate it with content and allow your fans to take part in conversation.
With Web 2.0 and Rss Feeds, it's possible to syndicate your blog content, videos, status updates etc from one site to the next. You can see this in action in this video where I show you how to integrate Twitter with your Facebook Status.
