Help… There Is Just Too Much To Do!

2

I'm fairly sure that MOST people in this industry and in life in general are disorganized and struggle to keep on top of things. There are also a lot of people who are good at it on a daily basis and therefore achieve much more in less time.

I feel that it's about time I get some coaching in this area. I'm already having some fantastic NLP coaching with my great friend Alix Martin but I'd also like to hone in on this specific area and sort it out once and for all.

Doing some research for David Allen's Getting Things Done a few minutes ago and I found a productivity coach. I wasn't looking for someone like that… but hey, we know how attraction marketing works, right?

When you are looking for something you need an answer to, or need help with and you find someone who has the answers you need… you want to work with them.

Well, here is the email I just sent to Duff who runs this site http://precisionchange.com/coaching … and I'll keep you updated on how it goes.

Hi Duff,

My name is Gavin Mountford… great to meet you :-) I just came across your website through an article gtdmastery100.com and wanted to hire you for some coaching on a weekly basis if possible.

Like many people, I've tried a lot of different personal productivity systems, time management courses, read books and listened to many audios but I'm still struggling to get everything I need to do, done. I work full time online, sometimes 10-14 hrs but I'M SURE that if I worked more effectively, I could get much more done in much less time.

I'm an Internet Marketing/ Network Marketer and there is a lot of things to do each day with learning, trainings, phone calls, connecting, social networking, traffic generation, blogs, product development etc…

My email flow is fairly good and I can usually get my inbox to zero each day. I have a next actions list etc and understand the principles of GTD. I use Achieve Planner at present to keep everything organized (well, almost :-) but I'm actually looking for an online application to help me manage things a little more.

One of my biggest challenges is multi-tasking, although I know it's NOT productive.

I'd like someone to keep me accountable on a weekly basis with my productivity and schedule to help me with the mentality of planning, organizing, doing and reviewing.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Many Thanks

Gavin

Hi Gavin!

It sounds like you're already on to a really good start with having a next actions list and controlling e-mail overload. Way to go! That's huge!

I'm not an expert in online organizing tools, but I have seen the incredible power of having an effective schedule and accountability to achieve peak performance and peace of mind. Even people with very dynamic lives and businesses–like me and many of my clients–find that time blocking our days and weeks helps us to focus on what's most important, set realistic expectations, and perform most effectively.

Hope that Duff's coaching works well for you!
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks for the comment, yes… email overload can be a big one. I empty my inbox every night and work through my next actions.

Duff has stopped his coaching unfortunately so I will be looking for another coach :-( He looked great also! So, if you know of anyone else who coaches on this kind of topic, please let me know.

Thanks
Gavin
