Fast forward…
March 31st 2015…
I’m an International Speaker selling my info Products from stage, earning £1 Million per year…
But, that’s just the START.
March 31st 2022 – 10 years from now…
“I am a Multi-Millionaire With £10 Million In The Bank!”
I have achieved this by making a HUGE difference in the world through my information products, services, seminars, speaking and coaching. I impact and CHANGE people’s lives and in return for it, I provide massive value to my customers.
It ALL starts with a dream! It ALL starts with an OUTCOME…
That is my dream…
With the money I earn providing MASSIVE value to people I am able to support charities and truly make a difference in the world!
So, let me ask YOU this…
Do you have your outcomes & goals set?
Watch the mind movie VIDEO I created back in 2008… and It’s AMAZING what you can achieve when you set the intentions…
I’m married to my wonderful wife Pippa Mountford, we now have a beautiful daugher Lottie and I’m running the Marathon, supporting a fantastic charity, eating well and I’m on my public speaking journey… (Not at the Millionaire status yet, but that will come)… Oh and I think I’ve outgrown the Porsche fad, I’m happy with our car
So…
By now, hopefully you’ve set your purpose, vision, mission, worked out your values and principles, defined your key results areas and worked out your strategies…
It’s time to set some GOALS which will help steer YOU in the right direction.
I think the phrase Goal Setting has been used so many times that everyone thinks they know how to set goals… (Well, if they did, then everyone would achieve them, and they DON’T do they?).
Because people think you set goals once per year… at New Year!
Well, if you start with WHAT you want to achieve in let’s say 10 years time, and then work backwards…. you have a PLAN.
A Goal is Nothing More Than a Stepping Stone to Your Desired Outcome…
In fact, I often refer to my goals as my OUTCOMES…
Let’s break it down…
Let’s go for a fairly BIG goal…
Write it in the PRESENT tense as if you’ve already achieved the goal, be SPECIFIC and give it a deadline…
If EVERYTHING you do all lines up perfectly, then all your goals will tie in together… both personal and professional. But, you may want to separate them.
10 Year Goal – By March 2022 I am a Multi-Millionaire With £10 Million In The Bank
5 Year Goal – By March 2017 I Have Written 2 Best Selling Books With £5 Million In The Bank
3 Year Goal – By March 2015 I am an International Speaker Selling My Info Products From Stage & Earn £1 Million Per Year
1 Year Goal - By March 31st 2013 I am Selling My Info Products From Stage To Audiences of 500 + People
In order for this to happen I need to do two things first… (Which are my stepping stones).
- Learn how to become a professional public speaker & speak in front of 100+ people (I’m already working on this)
- Complete my sales funnel & launch for The Results Machine, Double Your Business Productivity & Do What You Love For Your Living… (Most of this is done)
I then break down these items into smaller steps which become…..
90 DAY Goals… (4 times per year)
- 1st Jan – 31st March
- 1st April – 30th June
- 1st July – 30th September
- 1st Oct – 31st Dec
I break my 90 day goals down into MONTHLY goals…
I break my MONTHLY goals down into weekly outcomes…
At this point I call then outcomes because they are things I MUST achieve if I want to hit my goals.
So far, these have ALL been aims, goals, and intentions but when you have a strong enough DESIRE with a SOLID & flexible plan, it’s possible to achieve ANYTHING!
My weekly outcomes become my projects (next training), and I break down my projects into tasks which I DO on a daily basis…
Of course. this is just the TIP of the iceberg… there’s a whole lot more.
I Love My Life… Do You Love Yours?

Hi Gavin, it’s great to see your blog post. Breaking down your bigger goals into smaller ones is a great idea. I’s great to see you achieving your goals and doing what you enjoy.
True prosperity is not necessarily a new car or million dollar house but how you benefit other peoples lives and the charities you contribute to.
What a way to live. You gotta love it. May you and your family be healthy and prosperous this year and every year!

Hi Gavin, Thank you for sharing your goals. It has inspired me to raise my own. When I think of the word prosperity I don’t think in dollar signs as much as I think of my one goal – for a specific charity!
If I reach my goal in dollars, I can then make one of the dreams of that charity come true and help tons of women and their families.
That is what keeps me going all the time.
Thanks Gavin

Hi Gavin, came across your article in FaceBook. You have always been a millionaire in my vision. In fact, when my millionaire journey began I linked myself to many people I admire, my mentors. You are one of them. Thank you for being an inspiration and motivating me to live my dream. My millions may not be in paper money, but they are in lives. I am rich in blessing others. My ultimate goal is to help over 50 million people worldwide shift from lives of fear and loneliness through living with seizure disorders to lives of peace and hope and happiness having positively managed their seizure disorder. Through National Seizure Disorders Foundation I am already reaching people around the world. When funding begins to flow, miracles will happen on a larger scale.
Peace -

Gavin,
I absolutely love your video. So much energy and you are showing yourself what you truly want. I do have my dream car. In fact, I have had my dream car many times. Right now, I am a BMW M3 sedan with rusty red sports seats and a thick comfy steering wheel, lots of horse power, ability to shift or use automatic in many varieties.
It is wonderful to love my car – and yet my real goal is to make a difference in other people’s lives. I am already doing that in my small way with my private clients – and now my goal is to reach a much larger audience through speaking, webinars, teleseminars and writing.
Thanks for sharing your dreams so openly. Gives me true inspiration to rekindle my dreams.
Warmly,
Dr. Erica

Hi Gavin, Great post and video. Setting goals both short and long term is so key to achieving anything you want for your life. I also use a vision board to keep what I want to accomplish close and in a visual format. Thanks for sharing your goals with us. I hope everything you want in life will come to you.
Best,
Shelley

Congrats on everything you have accomplished. Goals SHOULD be done both in short and long term. I’ve always believed that. My father dad Amway before and did quite well (my youngest sister is now working his business), so I had the chance on those long car trips to conferences to listen to their tapes and hear the success stories, the advice, and to learn to dream big.

It starts with a dream, and you give it life by what you give back. It’s a win win situation! A win for you, and a win for all those to whom you give in order for your dreams to come true.
Great post, Gavin, with lots of good ideas.

WONDERFUL Gavin!! Your Mind Movie Rocks. No wonder you have such a beautiful life, and so many accomplishments. You SEE IT, you know why you’re doing it, you write it down, and put a date on doing it! All these things are the mark of not only a goal getter, but a champion!
It’s so easy to get off track if we don’t keep those key things right in front of us like a dangling carrot! The Mind Movies are so awesome because you can watch them as many times in a day or week, (or hour! subliminally) as you wish! The pictures burn in our minds and emotions…as well as the music! Love that Queen!
Larry and I both have them, and they are coming true as well. We made them in late 2008 and I will incorporate them into a post some time for all to see.
Thanks Gavin for the inspiration as always!

Gavin,
Very uplifting post and a great reminder to us all to have our goals, desires, passions all written down and in a place visible to us morning and night. The most successful amongst us have their goals written out and can recite their definite chief aim without stuttering.
Looking forward to hearing about your first speaking engagement.

Laser targeted focus on how to properly structure your goals. I love it! I wish you the best in what you plan to do and carry out in the next few years.
Do you believe in having an accountability partner, someone who is supporting you and following your goal progress too? That would not be a bad idea to help one stay on track.
I see you already on that stage selling your product to millions and this is something I personally use to achieve my goals. Seeing my achievements in the “already done” status. This works like a charm, every time, If I can envision it, pushes me into completion of that task(s).
All the best Gavin!

The video is great it gives energy to you of course eevn to us an inspiring way to make dreams come true through the power of intention. I think that we need to check inside of us if all our parts are ready to manifest and recieve, self sabotage is often tricky and might keep us far from our dreams if we forget to fine tune our dreams to our values.
Thanks Gavin for sharing this great work and your dreams.
Best wishes!

What a motivating post. I like the idea of setting stepping stone goals along away that have targets that raise the level of expectation. That can be helpful.

HI Gavin,
You have done a great job on this video. It is sure to happen for you.
I have discovered on my journey that not everything on those treasure maps has happened, BUT being inspired opens us to recognize opportunities when they arrive. There is no better life than cutting your own path and whatever happens you are in for a thrilling, fun ride!
Oh yes, money is irrelevant in the end. Fidel Castro says he never got paid over $100 a month and he has anything he wants! May all your dreams manifest.

Hey Gavin,
Loved your article mate, Goal setting is so important and yet, as you stated, it is something that most people don’t do or they don’t do it correctly.
As you mentioned at the end of your article “this is just the tip of the iceberg.” Setting Goals correctly is a skill set which can be learned and mastered given the proper education and training.
I just finished reading a book by Brian Tracy entitled “Goals” and it is an excellent read, I highly recommend it.
Thanks again Gavin for another excellent article,
Kevin

Gavin,
This was excellent to present setting milestones and getting things done daily. If you must break thinks down to get them done, this is the best way to micro-manage yourself.
I love how easy you make it with the goals and all the focus seems to be on you. That is going to put allot of pressure on yourself and family.
I found with our group over 27 years in our great industry and growing. It’s about milestones and leverage with a passionate group supporting you. No one can do it alone and that is how no one accomplishes much. Most would think to only include their daily production based on what they can accomplish. Hey, what they have energy and time within a 24hr clock.
That is the problem in our industry. Most do not have the clarity you bring with this method of being. We must agree to include leverage, support and others. These are just a few of the areas in the whole procedure of getting it done right the first time. Using milestones to achieve daily steps that will accomplish each visual goal you will achieve. That is, never alone .
Gavin, well done and I feel anything you visualize with faith will be done. No limitations and massive supportive group of people focused on your success as only you can determine it to be. Just keep that quality time with the love ones and keep in mind this is a lifetime journey and not a race.
Your one of our great motivators in this industry. I feel your passion in being an awesome motivation speaker. I look forward i n watching your passion spread wings.

Hi Gavin,
Dreams and goals keep us going, don’t they! I love how you break down all your goals into smaller manageable ones — especially the 3-month goals to monthly ones, to weekly ones. I’m still in the throes of trying to get myself organized, and your tips and tidbits seem to always come at the right time : )

Thanks Gavin for this wonderful article.
You are right so many people do not have the proper education when it comes to setting goals. Most people put down what they want with no action plan.
Your article explains a detail action plan to follow and makes it look so easy, but we all know you have to be committed and have a burning desire for its achievement to reach each goal.

want to become more involved in Public Speaking. Your Goals post sharing an update with us; and keeping yourself accountable is awesome. Proud of your marathon accomplishments (oh and the London Marathon was cool too!)

Hi Gavin,
Nice breakdown on how to set goals, with the important work backwards steps.
The outcomes section is great advice, one thing I have observed with people and goal setting is they may have their big goals in place, but when it is time to break that down into what is needed to get there, they don’t actually know.
Being in an MLM I don’t have that issue, but what would you advise people who are lot, and have no idea what to do to get to where they want?
