How To *Jazz Up* Your Email Signatures & AutoResponder Messages…
I've lost count of the amount of people who have asked me how I get the cool signature and image at the bottom of all my email messages and autoresponder messages so I've decided to compose this tutorial post and video's to show you exactly how I did it.
You want something that people can recognise so they know who you are. If you use the same contact details, tag line and image across all your social networking profiles, emails, autoresponders etc… people will start to REMEMBER YOU.
Make sure you watch both tutorial videos I've created and when you've completed your own signature, add a comment at the bottom of the post so I can see what it looks like.
Website links you'll need before you get started…

Just a quick word of warning. Be careful and make sure you use NOTEPAD and not WORD. Microsoft word has got a very bad habit of adding hidden code into the html so when you paste it into wisestamp or your Autoresponders, it looks terrible and messes up the formatting.
That's just a little tip for anytime you use word. Always paste into notepad first and then copy from notepad into whatever you are using.
It will save you a lot of headaches in the process…
Hi Gavin,
Thank you for sharing the information, it was very helpfull
Fantastic! It's like a business card and no one has an excuse for not getting a hold of you. You could use a gif and animate your pic for a twinkle in your eye… LOL
Great Job Gavin.

This is great Gavin.I like having a business card on my messages. I will get this set up today. I appreciate you taking the time to share this information.

I have always wondered about your signature, Gavin. I can't use it yet with Outlook, but will consider other options.
I agree that signature lines are an excellent way to let people know about you in an "attractive" manner.
Your tutorials will help many technically challenged individuals get their own signature line in place without frustration.
Thanks for all your great comments.
@Becky, I didn't think it worked in Outlook which is a shame, but you could still use something similar for the bottom of your autoresponder messages
@Beverly – Great to see you here! Yeah, just like a business card…
@Josh – Thanks for the update. I hadn't noticed the latest blog RSS feed in the signature. I'll try using it when I get time.
@chris – Actually, that's a great idea. And wouldn't it be even better if you could use a video in it so people could click play and listen to you! Whoooo…
Hello,
Do you know if there's an application like this that works for Mac Mail?
Thanks,
Tara
Hi Tara,
Unfortunately I don't. I do have a mac, but have never used Mac Mail. Maybe some of the other visitors can shed some light on this? Does anyone have a cool signature and use a Mac?
Thanks
Gavin
Gavin,
As usual you continue to blow me away with your value. This is definitely a tool I'm going to use! Well, already started. Too bad aweber doesn't allow html in the sig file–or does it? Maybe in the new version coming out.
Thanks Holly much appreciated.
Yes you can add it into Aweber, that's what I use for my AR. If you just grab the above code in this blog post and then edit your Aweber message by using the html (code) tab in the top box of the screen. Add the code to the bottom of your message and it will work.
Any problems please let me know.
Thanks
Gavin
Awesome stuff Gavin as always.
I've actually been wondering that myself. I've got to put together my sig, I just recently cropped my picture to figure that out. Thanks for cutting out the leg work : )
To the top,
-Gregory Elfrink
Thanks heaps Gavin. I hope Mac comes up with something that will allow people to put their social media profiles in their signatures soon!
Cheers,
Tara
Gavin,
Thank you so much for this! This is really great for all of us! Keep the fantastic content coming!
Rock on buddy!
Eleni
Great job as always Gavin,
That bag of tricks of yours must be bottomless, you just keep producing them…Oh btw thanks for the "past from word" tip, was wondering why it looked funky:-0…Thanks again mate!
Hi Gavin,
I'm new here and just want to thank you for all the good content that you share on your blog. This is really good stuff and I wish the best of luck to you.
Hi Charles,
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate your kind remarks.
I'm just checking out your blog now,
Thanks
Gavin
I finally took the time to get this completed and I love it. Thanks so much Gavin. You are a great teacher!
So, if two people have auto-responders and one emails the other, do they keep auto-responding each other?
Thanks for the info. I will implement this today!
Hi Gavin,
Thanks for the great info. I followed your instructions and everything worked perfectly! I am going to try to post mine below, but I'm not sure if the html will work in a comment.
Either way, it was fun and I love have a few signatures to choose from.
Peace,
Lisa
