How To *Jazz Up* Your Email Signatures & AutoResponder Messages…

28

I've lost count of the amount of people who have asked me how I get the cool signature and image at the bottom of all my email messages and autoresponder messages so I've decided to compose this tutorial post and video's to show you exactly how I did it.

Gavin Mountford SignatureYou want something that people can recognise so they know who you are. If you use the same contact details, tag line and image across all your social networking profiles, emails, autoresponders etc… people will start to REMEMBER YOU.

Make sure you watch both tutorial videos I've created and when you've completed your own signature, add a comment at the bottom of the post so I can see what it looks like.

Website links you'll need before you get started…

Fantastic! It's like a business card and no one has an excuse for not getting a hold of you. You could use a gif and animate your pic for a twinkle in your eye… LOL

Great Job Gavin.

I have always wondered about your signature, Gavin. I can't use it yet with Outlook, but will consider other options.
I agree that signature lines are an excellent way to let people know about you in an "attractive" manner.
Your tutorials will help many technically challenged individuals get their own signature line in place without frustration.

Hello,

Do you know if there's an application like this that works for Mac Mail?

Thanks,
Tara

Gavin Mountford Reply:

Hi Tara,

Unfortunately I don't. I do have a mac, but have never used Mac Mail. Maybe some of the other visitors can shed some light on this? Does anyone have a cool signature and use a Mac?

Thanks
Gavin

Gavin,

As usual you continue to blow me away with your value. This is definitely a tool I'm going to use! Well, already started. Too bad aweber doesn't allow html in the sig file–or does it? Maybe in the new version coming out.

[Reply]

Awesome stuff Gavin as always.

I've actually been wondering that myself. I've got to put together my sig, I just recently cropped my picture to figure that out. Thanks for cutting out the leg work : )

So, if two people have auto-responders and one emails the other, do they keep auto-responding each other?

Hi Gavin,

Thanks for the great info. I followed your instructions and everything worked perfectly! I am going to try to post mine below, but I'm not sure if the html will work in a comment.

Either way, it was fun and I love have a few signatures to choose from.
Peace,
Lisa

Joyce Penner @ 5:18 pm #

Hi Gavin. I was always told to use the "text" version in Aweber as it has a higher deliverability rate. Do you have an opinion on that? As you wouldn't be able to use this signature in the text version, would you?
Thanks,
Joyce Penner

Gavin Mountford Reply:

Hi Joyce,

Sorry for the delay on this, only just approved all comments. As long as your SPAM score on Aweber is less than about 4.5, ideally 4 or less, then you will be ok. I use it in my emails and it works out as a combination of text and html emails.

Hope that helps.
Thanks
Gavin

Hey Gavin,

Thanks for this great tip. I had been looking around to see how to do this for over a week when I noticed yours in an email. Guess I should of asked sooner.

Make it a great day!
God Bless,
