My Marketing Funnel
I wanted to share my marketing funnel with you. For those who don't know what a marketing funnel is, I'll give you a little explaination first.
The first point into a marketing funnel is for people to become exposed to your message through your videos, blogs, content or social networking activities.
Once that person has been exposed to you and your offer, you need to get them involved and take the person through a network or maze of information you've already set up. Your aim is to gradually build a relationship with the person, help them with any problems they may have and empower them to take action on their own.
Throughout this process, your prospect is exposed to other various products and services you may sell or be affiliated with.
Your next step is to upgrade the prospect to your main business or opportunity.
Here's my funnel either as it is now, has been in the past or will be in the future…
- Expose
The first step in your funnel should be to allow prospects to find you and become exposed to your marketing message. Below are several ways you can achieve this.
- Writing Blog articles (MLMTorrent.com and RyanShamus.com – My 2 blogs.)
- Recording videos with you talking to the camera or demonstrating a piece of software
- Advertising on Google with their Adwords program
- Writing articles and submitting them to article directories
- Using Squidoo and Hub Pages
- Social Networking (Facebook, Myspace and other similar sites)
Once a prospect finds a piece of content by you, the next step is for you to direct them to a lead capture or squeeze page and collect their details. (Usually name and email address and sometimes phone number if possible)
People aren't going to give you their details for no reason, so you have to come up with a free gift, ebook, course, video, or consultation in exchange for their contact details. Your prospect has to be able to see value in your offer and you need to be able to deliver value to them.
Once you've captured their contact details into your autoresponder, you need to have a series of emails set up to be sent out automatically. The first email will be the free gift you just promised your prospect.
They just submitted their name and email address in return for a free ebook. You need to set up your autoresponder to deliver the free ebook, so it arrives a couple of minutes after they submit their details.
My main squeeze page is www.mlmprofitsblueprint.com, although squeeze pages are normally much shorter. Here's a better example of a squeeze page www.mlmtorrent.com/xocai
Now the person is exposed to my autoresponders, I can build my relationship with them automatically and when I get a response from a prospect, I can email them personally and hopefully talk with them on the phone to answer any concerns or help they may need.
Ok, John has been exposed to your message (content) he has taken the first step (submitted his details) and is now involved in the process or funnel.
2. Involve
You now need to involve John in dialogue, conversation, telephone calls, trainings, help and assistance, consultations, email etc to build up the relationship with him after all, thats what Network Marketing is all about.
The next step in my funnel is for John to opt-in to a couple of other websites which I automatically advertise through my autoresponder. These are Renegade University and Magnetic Sponsoring. (These ebooks and courses help John to understand more about Network Marketing on the Internet.
When John opts-in to either of the above, he'll also receive autoresponders from the respective sites automatically. I've now have increased my chances of John buying something through Renegade or Magentic Sponsoring and I'll earn a commission for that sale.
My front end offer was my free ebook, my smaller backend offer is either Renegade or Magnetic Sponsoring and my main backend offer is my Network Marketing company.
3. Upgrade
After a while of John being in my funnel, if I feel he's right for me and my Network Marketing business, I'll either approach him directly to ask if he'd like to be one of my leaders in my business, or I'll send an email out to my list of prospects talking about my opportunity.
I then direct my list to another lead capture page which tells them more about the opportunity and how they can get involved. If John signs up to that list, he'll be in another of my funnels.
My main aim is to build the relationship with John right from the start, and help him with as much as possible. I need to Involve him with various things such as telephone calls, conference calls, trainings, emails etc… I just want to know John is a real person and he is interested in what I have to offer.
From there, my aim is to get John to UPGRADE to one of my products, affiliate services or Network Marketing company.
This is my funnel in essence and you can have as many funnels, lead capture pages, products, network marketing businesses and content as you're able to create.
It's a process > EXPOSE, INVOLVE and UPGRADE – John has to go through all 3 of these before he joins you and your Network Marketing Opportunity.
