Gavin, there's loads of really helpful information in here. Many people power off in a direction for far too long before they stop to realise it's been wasted energy.
Perspective and leverage from the outset can make the journey so much more enjoyable, productive and profitable in the long term.
A great opportunity for people to work with a great team of pro's if the time is right for them.
    Saz.

  3. Hi Gavin,

I love it when you teach something! You always provide the big picture, which gives me a jump start on how things fit together in the rest of the presentation. Most of your presentation I have now encountered before, but seeing it put together helped me better understand the leverage it's possible for me to have in my business.

This was also an affirmation for my current direction. All this time I've been learning and trying, making progress at a snail's pace. Even the terminology was totally foreign to me (and some still is). But now that I have an understanding of what I'm doing, where I'm going, and what I need, it's time to pay attention to content. Thanks for saying that it can take 3 months to develop content, as that's what I've planned to do all summer. I was feeling slow until you said that!

By the way, I've heard the term "funded proposal," but didn't understand it until now. I still don't understand the term (what's the "proposal" part, anyway?), but I understand the "funded." Should be "funded ads!"

Leverage… Is it really what we want? It sounds so good until the reality hits.

To get the leverage in place takes time. It takes energy. Sometimes the time and effort required to create real leverage is much more than it would be to just "do it now!"

I personally see there is a price to pay to establish effective leverage. Systems, processes and training of the people involved is sometimes more than a person can handle all because they just might not have all the skills to pull it off now.

May I suggest a progressive path of growth from where we are to where we desire to arrive. We CAN leverage what we know. Put it in place and maximize it into a solution for a single or simple problem today. Tomorrow we leverage today's solution into tomorrows answer and so on until we can leverage systems, processes and people.

Starting with ourselves is a great way to go! Leverage is the goal. Start where you KNOW and leverage that forward. Thanks for this though provoking post.
