Wk4004 – Killer Youtube Traffic Generation

0

When you record a video and upload it to youtube, you naturally want to get as much traffic to the video as possible and there are many ways you can do this, but I'd like to talk more about one specific strategy in this tutorial.

Posting Video Responses

When someone watches a video on youtube, they're usually interested in the content as it relates to their interest. They want to know as much as they can about the topic and will click on any video or link they see near the video to find out more information. If you post a video response in the comments section, the viewer will see your comment, watch the video and click through to your profile in their search for more information.

The way to do this is to:

1. Search in youtube for videos related to the video you've just recorded.
2. At the top of the page you'll see 'Sort By' – change it to 'sort by view count' and it will show you the most viewed videos for that keyword. (Side note – Just because a video has 100,000 views, doesn't mean those views are legitimate. People can pay for video views and 'pretend' they are popular when they aren't, so be careful with this)

You can see more about this in this video I found a couple of days ago.

YouTube Preview Image

3. View the video you'd like to post a video response for and make sure it's related.
4. At the bottom of the video, you'll see commentary, with video responses and text comments.
5. Click on Post a video response.
6. You can either record a video right off the cuff or you can select one of your existing videos.
7. Select your video and click 'respond with this video'.

Some videos are set to automatically allow video responses and others require permission from the owner, so double check your video comment has been submitted after a few days.

Make sure you submit all your videos as video responses to other high traffic videos. This should send between 3-10 people each day to your youtube channel where you can build that relationship with them.

Action Steps

  1. Follow the 7 action steps above and submit one of your videos as a video response
  2. Write a blog post about this tutorial. Explain to others how to do this. You could also record a video tutorial with screen capture software such as Camtasia (PC) or Screenflow (Mac) to actually demonstrate how to add your video response.
  3. Record a video with you talking about the above.
  4. Publish your blog post so it appears on your blog.
  5. Upload your video using Traffic Geyser and ensure it's then been automatically submitted to the other video sharing sites.
  6. Social Bookmark your blog posts and videos with Web2Submitter software. You can find out more about this software when you download the Free authority blackbook. (The Web2Submitter software makes your job so much easier that doing it all by hand)
