Why Blogs Are Very Important

Blogs are very important for Internet Network Marketers, mainly because they help you build trust and credibility with your readers and can share your knowledge with other people, offering value to them. You're also able to interact with your audience by posting stories about yourself, tips and advice, videos and other related things to show what you've been doing recently.

You need to make your blog as personal as possible. Blogs initially were meant to be online diaries where people would post their thoughts and feelings each day and document their journey through life. Since then, blogs have changed a little and many people tend to just use them as websites now.

There's so many boring blogs on the Internet these days and I'm sure you've seen many of them before. They're just full of information and text with no media (video), no interaction with the readers, no feelings and no Buzz. Just pure boring!

Many people still don’t grasp the concept of blogs. The more personal they can be, the better for everyone. People like people and they're able to relate to someone who's just like them. If you've got challenges, problems, success stories, insights and experiences then people want to know about them.

It creates a bond with you and the reader and if the reader feels a connection with the blogger then they'll come back and read the blog each day to see what the blogger has been up to. (Which is our overall goal)

You have to ask yourself, why would you go to someone elses blog and spend your time reading what they've got to talk about?

Why Would You Read Someone's Blog?

1. You think that the blogger can help you achieve your goals and dreams. They're similar to you and have already achieved what you want to achieve.
2. Because the blogger has more knowledge than you do and they offer value to you.
3. You perceive the blogger as a Leader and they have an abundance mindset which you can sense.
4. The blogger is not needy or desperate.
5. You perceive the leader to have already achieved what you want to achieve.
6. On the blog, there are tons of fantastic tutorials and resources which help you move forward to achieve your dreams.

There's usually an underlying reason why you'll find someone’s blog or website useful and beneficial.

What Type Of Blog Should I Set Up?

With my MLM Blog Starter Kit I recommend that we only set up one blog initially and focus on building up the content on that blog as we go through the challenge.

Once you’ve been able to write your 40 blog posts and have created a blogging habit, then you can create another blog on a different subject.

My advice is to promote yourself on the blog initially and focus on building up the YOU BRAND. You as a person CAN offer great VALUE to people and the more you learn, the more you'll be able to teach your readership. This will bring people flocking back time and time again.

Blogging is much more competitive these days with millions of blogs online. You'll have to stand out from the crowd and by combining your blog posts with video, you'll be able to make a much greater IMPACT on people and you'll be able to speak to your readers on a much deeper level.

Posting on your blog four times each week will become a new habit which you'll repeat time and time again. Unfortunately when people create new habits, many give up after about 10 days or so of doing it. I'll talk more about creating new habits in another lesson but it depends on how much you want to succeed, and what your reasons are for doing this. If you want it bad enough, then Building the brand of you up is the most important thing you can do right now.

Network Marketing will work but it will only work if you're able to become a leader full of knowledge. The more you can learn, the more value you can offer people. You might not fully understand the power of this yet, but I’ve seen it in action and it’s powerful stuff.

So, there are 2 types of blog you can set up.

1. Build the brand of YOU. Write about your journey with the MLM 10 week challenge, tell people who you are, what you do, where you come from, what you want to achieve. Set goals, write them down and then give reports and progress on your goals.
2. Network Marketing company specific blog. You can write about the MLM Company you're involved with. Write about the latest company news, what you’ve been up to, any meetings and trainings you have been to, welcome any new recruits into your downline and post trainings to help your team.

I'd personally focus on building the BRAND OF YOU first. Get this blog up and running, finish the 10 week challenge and then set up a Network Marketing Company specific blog later.

Think about it this way. If you set up a Company specific blog and then leave that company in 6 months, you'll have to start all over again. Whereas if you set up a YOU blog with your own name and talk about you, who you are and what you can offer people, then if you do leave your company within 6 months, you can write about the reasons why you left the company etc and you can continue with your blog.

Generally, I don’t talk about my MLM business opportunity on my blog. My blog is there to attract MLM’ers and Network Marketers into my funnel so I can build up a relationship with that person, capture their details and email address into my autoresponder and then follow up, maintain the relationship and offer value to that person in the future. Once I’m able to help that individual achieve their dreams, at some point in the future, they'll be much more likely to trust me and to follow me into my business opportunity as I've helped them so much in the past.

Your blog needs to act as a central hub for anything else you do. You can link to other blogs, resources, companies, squeeze pages, mailing lists etc from your blog. Fill your blog with articles, resources, reviews, videos and other content and you'll notice people coming back to your blog time and time again.

What stops people finishing the 10 week challenge and what stops them from taking action and learning about the Internet?

1. Laziness
2. They don’t know how

I’m going to show you how to do it, but unfortunately, I can’t do it for you. If I could, then Network Marketing wouldn’t exist. You have to take action and get off your backside yourself…

Network Marketing is a very powerful business model. It takes your own personal efforts and multiplies them by as many people which you have in your downline.

You as a person can only put in 100% effort, but when you leverage the power of multiple people in your downline, your INCOME will SKYROCKET and the productivity of your personal effort will EXPLODE.
