In part 1 we looked at the most IMPORTANT ways to maximize your business productivity efforts and discussed Leverage. In my experience, without leverage, you will struggle to have success. There are actually 3 business concepts which allow you a MASSIVE amount of leverage in your business. When you combine them together, they create a HUGE synergy…
I call it The Ultimate Leverage Model and on Saturday 28th May at 12PM EST, I’m going to be holding a webinar explaining the concept and how it works. Seats are LIMITED so if you’d like to understand how this works and have an opportunity to work closer with me then register ASAP.
In this post, we will be looking at 4 other ways to maximize your 168 hours per week. I’m willing to BET that if you sat down and analysed your DMO (Daily Method of Operation), you are wasting a MASSIVE amount of time and just by focusing on the right things, you could get much more done and achieve a lot more with exactly the same amount of time.
If some people can get massive leverage and become VERY wealthy, then why can’t you?
Well, you can… and it’s just a matter of learning how and making some changes to the way you do business and operate.
So, carrying on from the part 1…
4. Webinars/Group Coaching
If you teach or train people one-on-one, then again, you can ONLY earn the income from that one person. You are limited by your own time and resources, BUT… you can seriously leverage your time, make more money and IMPACTING more people by presenting the exact same information to a group of people on a webinar.
Conferencing and webinar software make it incredibly easy to get your message across and teach 10 - 1000 people the same information at the same time.
Let’s say you currently charge $100 per hour for one-on-one coaching and you ONLY work with one person at a time.
Now let’s take the exact same syllabus, get on a webinar/conference, invite 50 people and teach the 50 people exactly what you would teach an individual… and all of a sudden that $100 per hour multiplies to $5000 per hour. This is a form of leverage.
Earning 50 times the income from exactly the same amount of time and effort.
You’re thinking smarter rather than working harder.
You’d have to sit for 50 hours one-on-one with clients to make that sort of money without using Webinar or Conferencing software.
So, if you’re a coach/consultant/ teach people how to do certain types of things, or you’re a business person who travels across the other side of the world for business meetings… you need to SERIOUSLY consider getting hold of a webinar or video conferencing platform to help save you MASSES amount of time, resources, and energy!
5. Video Marketing
If you have a business and are JUST writing text adverts, emails, articles, blog posts and products then you’re MISSING out on being able to IMPACT many more people with the exact same amount of time!
People learn from many different mediums. Some people love text, others hate it. Some people love to physically do, other people prefer learning the theory and some people learn by seeing (visual), while others prefer just text.
In order to HIT the different modalities of most people with your message, you MUST integrate video in your marketing!
- Video email
- Video conferencing & broadcasting
- Video Blogging
- Video talk/chat/phone calls
People love to see you on camera. It also breaks down the barriers and builds up the crediblity and rapport with the person you are teaching or talking to. It’s just like a REAL person is in front of your prospect rather than someone hiding behind a computer screen.
I know I’d much rather do business with someone I’ve seen on video vrs someone who hides away and I’ve never seen before!
6. NET Time
NET time is something I learned from Tony Robbins and it stands for No Extra Time! It’s not really multi tasking (because multi tasking is the killer of productivity), instead it’s taking two lower focused activities and doing them at the same time.
Here are a couple of examples of NET time:
- Doing house work at the same time listening to a personal development audio book or course
- Going to the gym and listening to your Internet Marketing training audio on your ipod
- Taking a shower and saying your affirmations
- Resting/relaxing and meditating
- Driving to and from work while listening to your personal development audio in the car
- On the tube and reading a book
These are just simple examples, and if you look around and examine your life and habits, you’ll see lots of instances where you can save time by using NET time!
If I’m doing very focused work, such as writing a blog post, recording a video, creating a product etc, I ONLY focus on the task at hand. I DO NOT multi task and listen to music or audio’s as I find it hard to focus and concentrate. So, in that instance, I’m more productive by single tasking.
7. Eliminate Distractions
Wow, this is a killer! The amount of time saved by eliminating distractions is HUGE! If you want to get more done in less time, then switch everything off, unplug the phone, turn off Skype or change yourself to busy/offline, shut the door, switch off browsers, close down programs and single mindedly focus 100% on the task at hand until you’ve finished.
The time lost when you’re focused on something and you get distracted is huge. Sometimes it can take 5-10 minutes to get back into that productive flow you were in before!
If you’re reading this post still at this point then this must be something that interests you… I wrote a 2 part series on 5 Major Distractions & How to Eliminate Them a while back. I strongly recommend heading over to that post and learning how to get your time back!
BUT…
Before you do that, please look below and make sure you register for the webinar…
What Next?
Because so many people I talk to are struggling, can’t seem to get the right things done and end the day feeling like they’ve achieved very little in their business, I’m putting on a Webinar on Saturday 28th May at 12pm EST. The webinar is called Get Leverage Now and I’ll be explaining my Ultimate Leverage Model.
By implementing the 3 concepts I talk about on the webinar, you can literally MULTIPLY yourself and quadruple your business results.
Because I realize the MASSIVE importance of working closely with a mentor or a group of people, I’m also going to give a VERY special, time limited and exclusive offer to people who attend the webinar live…
I’m going to give you the opportunity to work closer with my MASTERMIND group and inner circle!
Those of you who know me, know I guard my time because I know how important it is, so opportunities like this don’t come around very often.

Gavin,
Leverage is my favorite concept. Time is life. The U.S. Army used to advertise with the slogan, “Be all you can be.” In my network marketing training, I said,”Be MORE than you can be!” Leverage allows us to be more and do more than we can do alone.
I can hardly wait to learn your ways to leverage productivity. Productivity is your area of expertise, and I have seen how very productive you are. Please be my mentor.
By the way, the Pareto Principle, aka the 80/20 Rule, gives me hope because I want to be four times as productive!

I hope some of the things I share will impact you and allow you to think about online business differently.
See you on the webinar,
Gavin

Awesomely brilliant post Gavin – I love the concept of combining my efforts kind of like multi-tasking with the ability to still stay focused and get the jobs done. I can now see how easy and productive it is to leverage by combining the litte tasks, presenting to a group and especially video marketing for building credibility and rapport. No distractions is a big one for me and for the most part I turn everything off that buzzes or pops up – no Skype no Facebook. Thanks for the great tips Gavin!

Thanks Loren! great way to put it, multi tasking but still staying focused. But this is focusing on the most important concepts, and not even tasks.
If you are focused on the big picture then you are going the right way, but if your stuck in the forest and can’t see anything other than the trees, you might be going in the wrong direction
No distractions is important! It’s the same for me… I know some people who can listen to audio trainings while at the same time as writing a blog post.
I struggle that way but I also feel I achieve a much deeper result because of it. Then I listen to the audio and take in much more because I did it separately.
Thanks
Gavin

Wow, this idea of webinars has been hitting me from a lot of sides recently. Guess I’ve been one of those people who “hides” behind the text. Not meaning to, just takes me a long time to figure out and feel comfortable with ONE modality! I still don’t feel like I have my “blogging voice” yet. But hopefully over this summer I can get some things done in the way of products, and be more ready to take this to another level — teleseminars or webinars. After that — video
The NET time and distraction awareness can use some work as well. By the way, if I need to make phone calls to friends or to places or business where I know I’ll have to wait, I’ve found that’s a great time to do the dishes!

Oh yeah, Sherry… webinars are BIG! Get involved with them asap. Get started and give out your content to people on a massive scale vrs one on one.
Much more leverage by doing this.
Keep working on your blogging voice and it will all come good.
It takes time to ‘find yourself’ definitely. Heck, I’m 7 years in and I’m still not there

Hi Gavin,
It is my wedding anniversary, 28 years ont he 28th so I will not be able to attend.
I love leverage.
How are you going to lift that 2000 lb rock?
Will it only be you and a lever, no. It will be people from different arenas of expertise, that is Leverage!
Time is valuable and we need to be smart how we use it.
Thanks Gavin!

Hi Gavin
With Video marketing you reach a vast number of people, I am aware of that. I have to summon my courage to speak in front of so many people at one time. This is what makes me nervous. I have to practice to make it perfect.
Suppose I better stop multi-tasking.. plus avoid distractions and concentrate on whatever project that I am doing to maximize my 168 hours per week..
Look forward to attending your webinar and learn about leveraging from you my Mentor…Thanks Gavin…

I can give you some critique on the video.
Definitely stop multi tasking, if possible and focus
Keep up the great work and see you on Saturday!

Hi Gavin,
I can see where I am heading to with my time spent online, I thank you for your teaching on time and business leverage. Doing video was something I never thought I want to ever try it but I have to let you know that by following your teaching as well as listening to your advise and keep doing what I am doing, it has taken my fear away. You are a great coach and I always like to take your critiques positively so that I can do better and continue to progress.
Time will tell that my hours, days, weeks, months and years spent working on implementing some strategies and tips from your coaching will give me the success I want to achieve. I know it is just a matter of time where I will come up with something I never thought I am able to do. That is another method of leveraging that I will introduce locally and hopefully online too.
There are so much we can do and so much we can achieve when we have faith in our leader/coach. A lot of trust and support is needed to give to them first ! This is exactly I am giving to you, Gavin !
Thank you and I am most glad that we met in my beautiful country, Malaysia.
Cheers

Gavin, what can I say but you are a true mentor! Leverage is something I and my clients struggle with. I just hope you record this webinar because I am leaving for the weekend and cannot make it. All the information you have given me so far has been priceless.
Every time I think I have my day’s work in place, something else pops up. Working from home is difficult to do. I have almost perfected my Daily Method of Operation using my appointment book, but need to learn more how to leverage all that I’m putting out there.
Thanks so much for all that you give us,

Hi Gavin,
NET time is one of my favourites! And, by the way, thank you for introducing me to Tony Robbins – I’ve listened to hours of his stuff and love it!
I think that my biggest problems is distractions!! Skype mostly! But also lack of a clear goal when I sit to do something!!
Looking forward to the webinar tomorrow!

The multi-tasking ideal on tasks that are lower focused (as you put it) is a great idea. It is something everyone can implement into their lives.
I am looking forward to the webinar. (I am hoping I don’t have to work. Manager is late with schedule this week. LOL) Anyway, you are always proving great value…that is why I keep your site bookmarked.

Sounds like a great webinar, Gavin. I get so mired up in the communication aspect of Social Media that the product creation gets put last, which is so wrong. I gave somebody some advice the other day that I should take myself, “Your product creation and creative work should be first and the internet is simply a marketing tool to get the message out.” I have a hard time doing this although I can see it is true. Your expertise is needed by so many people working from home. Focusing on the right task is essential but seeing through all the much is sometimes impossible.

Product creation is essential as you said! It’s a huge leverage activity and many millionaires online have multiple products.
We all have so many things to do on a daily basis, but if we only focus on the high leverage tasks it allows us to achieve so much more.
Thanks and catch you tomorrow,
Gavin

Hi Gavin,
Super post! Your webinar was great and the infomation is priceless. Distraction are a big problem for me but since I have joined TSA I have become more focused. And learning about leverage is something that is so important., We only have so many hours in the day and we need to use them wisely. It is funny that I always was jeolous of people who seemed to do so much multitasking. Now I realize that they were probably just spinning their wheels, not really accomplishing anything.
Joyce,

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome post Gavin!
I have never heard of NET time until just now from you. That’s exactly one of the things I do to get things going and scratching them off of my to-do list for the day. I always make sure I have some type of audio in my vehicle or on my iphone (uploaded) JUST IN CASE i’m stuck on the road. That way I have no worries as far as how unproductive I would feel without the audios.
I also bring in my audios in to the shower with me and always have a book within reach.
About the webinar, I signed up for it and got your message about the recording. I noticed you mentioned here that there was supposed to be a special for all those that attended live. Considering it was at 2 am for me on the other side of the world, I’m just curious as to what this special was about.
Thanks for always providing great value to your followers Gavin!

Many Thanks

This is amazing and what was implemented back in the day. This just goes to shows you that time will change. Getting back to the basics is what we all need to do. Why change something that works.
We all need to live these great methods and it will become a part of us. Then we can share this information to all our people. Unity will become something that is reality.
Gavin, great information that we all can apply today! Looking great so far and would not expect anything less from you.
